School Direct Teacher Training 2013-14

03 Dec 2012

Train to teach within a collaborative and supportive ‘network of excellence’ schools.

Swiss Cottage Teaching School Alliance and partner schools are pleased to offer places for Initial Teacher Training from September 2013. There are 19 available places for ‘School Direct Salaried’ training leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 1 ‘non salaried’ primary training place that leads to a PGCE qualification. We would expect that all trainees would be able to be employed within one of the partner schools from September 2014.

Training commences in September 2013. We anticipate that there will be a high demand for these places so please apply early and include details of your preferred school where possible. All our partners are committed to providing high-quality training for trainees in partnership with the Institute of Education and St Mary’s University College Twickenham.

Trainees will gain positive working experiences in at least two of the schools in our network, and we can also provide training in a unique special school setting. Please see the relevant school websites for further information.

Collaborative Partners
Our Cluster of Schools is a pan London collaboration of excellent schools. Working across these schools will allow student teachers to experience a variety of school types.
