Making SMSCD Special

Making SMSCD Special Footer

Our Teaching School offer is based on an overall recognition that the holistic individual needs of SEND pupils extend beyond those associated with their diagnosis or learning difficultly.  We are committed therefore, to  building professional learning communities which explore Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development and embrace areas such as faith, wellbeing, and the global dimension.

With support from Culham St Gabriel’s Trust, our ‘Making SMSCD Special’ initiative has enabled us to work with a range of partners, to develop approaches around the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development of children and young people with SEND.  It also enabled us to support a number of schools, to assess and evaluate their SMSCD provision.
